Ranchi, Aug. 19: Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma directed the Sanitation Department to run individual and community toilet making campaign from 15th September to 15th November, 2016.
She said that any slackness in this regard will not be tolerated. Mrs. Verma said that 12 lac toilets are proposed by 31st March, 2017 and the targeted work should be ensured timely by the department.
The Chief Secretary directed the department that the govt. has targeted to make the 500 panchayats ODF. She said that work-plan for the panchayats should be prepared block wise so that work can be completed on time. She also directed to start toilet making for Indira Aawas from MGNREGA funds.
Mrs. Verma said that martyrs and tribal villages should be identified and drinking water should be supplied to the villagers as soon as possible.
She said that all pending schemes should be completed as soon as possible. She directed to complete Chatra, Chaibasa and Dhanbad water supply schemes fast.
