Jamshedpur, June 20: Tata Main Hospital (TMH) is on alert mode with three nurses turning positive of COVID-19. The officials of the leading city-based hospital informed that steps are being taken to ensure early recovery of the patients. One out of the three nurses is reported to have a negative coronavirus. The other two are also in stable condition. ����
Though corona positive cases are on the rise in the city, simultaneously patients recovering from deadly virus are also on the recovery mode. As on date, Tata Main Hospital (TMH) had 244 COVID-19 positive patients out of which 140 COVID-19 positive patients have been discharged till today. The hospital is fully equipped with infrastructure required for COVID-19 cases and has made arrangements for 600 beds for the same. Out of those admitted 20 patients are from Seraikela Kharsawan, one from West Bengal and 223 were from East Singhbhum.

Tata Steel is stepping-up its efforts to reach out to more people impacted by COVID-19. With the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in East Singhbhum district in Jharkhand, TMH Jamshedpur is all geared up to enhance its testing facilities. Presently, the hospital is conducting about 156 RT-PCR diagnostic tests for COVID-19 per day in its laboratory. It has conducted 6000 tests so far.
Dr Rajan Choudhry, general manager, medical services, Tata Steel said that the months of June and July are very crucial and we need to be very careful during this period. He said that wearing masks should be a must for everyone. He added that TMH Jamshedpur is augmenting its testing facilities to carry more COVID tests per day.
Meanwhile, the district administration has filed an FIR against a barber and the man who got his beard shaved from him. The administration took action as the person had violated the rules of home quarantine. The district administration has identified 14 of these people and put them in government quarantine. The search for the remaining people is still on. Samples are being taken for corona examination. Meanwhile, the tempo driver who took the person from Delhi to Mercy Hospital in Bardih has also been kept in the government quarantine.
