Jamshedpur: Tata Main Hospital (TMH) has launched an online payment system that allows in-patients and their families to make hospital payments from anywhere. The new facility enables payments through smartphones or laptops by simply scanning a QR code, eliminating the need to visit cash counters repeatedly.
Hospital officials said the initiative aims to improve patient convenience and streamline the payment process for attendants and family members, especially during long hospital stays. To support smooth implementation, QR code standees and clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for online in-patient payments will be placed across all wards.
TMH believes this initiative is a major step in improving patient experience and operational efficiency. The hospital said the facility is among the first of its kind in the country and the first in Eastern India, setting a new standard in digital healthcare services.
