TMH Jamshedpur first in state to add IVUS-FFR machine in cardiac care armoury

Jamshedpur, Oct 30: Tata Main Hospital (TMH), Jamshedpur has become the first hospital in Jharkhand to procure IVUS-FFR machine for cardiac care. The facility was used for the first time today for cardiac cases.

IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound) helps in better strategizing angioplasty cases and ensures optimal stent deployment. It is considered class 1A indication for complex angioplasties.

FFR (Fractional Flow Reserve) is a modality to assess functional significance of coronary lesions to know whether revascularisation will be of benefit or not.

 With this development, TMH can now match the best hospitals across the globe in performing complex angioplasties.

TMH also provides super speciality services in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology, Urology, Paediatric Surgery and Gastroenterology.

 TMH has introduced seamless access to TMH & Clinics for persons with disabilities and Senior Citizens above 75 years for doctor’s consultation, diagnostics and medicines without any prior appointment.

 TMH continues to cater to increase patient load of over 16.5 lakh OPD patients and 60000 admissions annually with year-on-year increase of customer satisfaction and advocacy measured through a robust Net Promoter Score methodology.

TMH provides curative healthcare through outpatient, inpatient and round-the-clock emergency services. Diagnostic services include Pathology, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
