Tiring Valley Near Jamshedpur to be Developed as Tourist Destination

Jamshedpur: The Tiring Valley Kali Mandir area in Bankata village—located just 100 meters from the Jharkhand-Odisha border on the Hata-Tiring main road under Potka assembly constituency— will soon get a makeover into a prominent tourist destination.

Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar inspected the site on Sunday to evaluate its tourism potential. The government is currently reviewing a plan to develop this area, nestled amidst dense forests and scenic natural beauty, into an attractive hub for visitors.

During his site inspection, MLA Sanjeev Sardar noted that the Tiring Valley naturally boasts immense scenic appeal, drawing thousands of visitors and picnickers from both Jharkhand and Odisha every year. He announced that he will soon submit a formal proposal to the Forest Department to initiate a structured development plan for the area.

The MLA emphasized that close family and social ties connect the residents of both states across this border region. Developing tourism amenities here will offer families a vastly improved environment to visit. Because of its strategic location right on the state line, the spot has the potential to become a primary attraction for people from both sides.

Boosting the Local Economy

Developing this tourist spot will unlock new employment and self-employment avenues for local youth. It will directly benefit small shopkeepers, local artisans, eateries, and transport businesses. The MLA highlighted that the government intends not just to boost tourism, but to strengthen the local economy so that border village residents can increase their income.

The proposed tourist destination will feature children’s play areas, dedicated picnic spots, seating arrangements, and other essential amenities designed to complement the natural environment. The MLA reiterated that the government aims to promote tourism in rural and border regions to generate sustainable livelihoods for local communities. He added that authorities will design the Tiring Valley project to ensure a safe, wholesome environment where families can spend quality time together.
