Jamshedpur: BJP workers in the city celebrated the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri with reverence. On Friday, activists led by BJP Jamshedpur President Gunjan Yadav garlanded the statue of Bapu at Mango Gandhi Maidan. During this, the BJP leaders paid tributes to the portrait of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Lal Bahadur Shastri and paid floral tributes.
Remembering the great men, the workers resolved to follow their thoughts and principles. Addressing the program organized, BJP State Spokesperson Kunal Sarangi said that Bapu’s path of non-violence and truth showed direction to the whole world. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embodied Bapu’s dream of clean India.
Today the countrymen are completing the campaign of Swachh Bharat as a mission. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the slogan of self-reliant India, further strengthening Bapu’s resolve to adopt Swadeshi. The Central Government has taken several commendable efforts in this direction to make the countrymen self-reliant.
