Ranchi: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today said the time to hold talks for a pre-poll alliance had expired.
He said the party was now ready to contest the upcoming Assembly elections in the state on all 81 seats. He said the election was round the corner and hence the party should not waste time in searching for alliance partners.
He was speaking to party workers during the one day central working committee meeting of the party held at Hotel Manya Palace at Morabadi. He directed party workers to visit villages and meet people to ensure a strong bonding with the voters ahead of the election.
Marandi said the talks held so far with the Congress, the BJP and other parties had ended fruitlessly. No concrete result of the talks could be obtained, he said.
A large number of party workers were present in today’s meeting.
