Ranchi: Unidentified assailants killed three youths in Masu village under Bero police station area of Ranchi late yesterday night.
Irked over the incident, local residents blocked the Ranchi-Bero main road since early morning. Cops suspect the hand of People�s Liberation Front of India rebels in the incident.
The deceased were identified as Aditya Gope, Upendra Mahato and Jeetpahan Mahato. The three were asleep in a house when the assailants barged in and shot them dead.
Police recovered the bodies next morning. Local villagers alleged that a killing was carried out in the month of January in a similar manner.
They demanded a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each along with Indira Awas facility and government job. Local MLA Bandhu Tirkey demanded compensation for the next of kin of the deceased from the state government.
