Three schools merged in Tangrain school of Potka

Jamshedpur: Three schools were merged with the Upgraded Middle School in Tangrain under Potka block on Tuesday. The school teachers, pupils and managing committee members welcomed the five teachers, students and cooks transferred to Tangrain.

The chief guest of the occasion was the former Zila Parishad member and social worker Karunamaya Mandal. He said teachers were the true reformers of society.

He asked the teachers to give their best to ensure quality education for the students.

Addressing the gathering, the school committee members said the merger of schools had resolved the teaching staff crisis. But the education department should not reduce the number of teachers in the name of merger, the members said.

At the conclusion of the function, the villagers of Tangrain decided to meet the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar on 9th May and hand over a memorandum to him regarding merger of schools.

The programme was conducted by the school Headmaster Arbind Tiwary. On this occasion, recently elected Bal Sansad members were also felicitated.
