Jamshedpur: Police arrested three persons for allegedly attempting to rob a woman doctor, identified as Usha Kumari, in Khasmahal under Parsudih police station area on Tuesday.
Those arrested were identified as Umesh Kumar, Vikas Murmu and Guddu Das, all nativesof Rajnagar.
Cops said the accused persons were trying to rob the doctor on her way to Tatanagar Railway Hospital early in the morning. Acting on a tip-off, a police patrol car rushed to the scene and arrested the fleeing trio after a chase. The three rode a motorcycle which overturned during the chase, said DSP Alok Ranjan.
The accused have a criminal past, police said.
