In Sitaramdera a 46-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy were killed at a boundary wall of a church collapsed in the wee hours today, in Mango an 28-year-old girl was electrocuted� while trying to mend a power line at her rain-soaked wall in her house at a residential colony in Dimna.
Those killed were identified as Sunder Samant (46) wife of Late Shivnath Samant, Rohan Puri (10) son of Rajan Puri and Priyabala� Biswas (30), daughter of SK Biswas.
The boundary wall of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Sitaramdera collapsed at about 3 am when the victims were in deep slumber.�
Rajan along with his neighbours rescued the victims and rushed them to the MGM Medical College and Hospital emergency, where the doctors declared them as brought dead.
Officer-in-charge, Sitaramdera police station, Shushil Chowdhury had visited the spot on getting information about the mishap.
At Mango the incident of electrocution took place at a house at a residential colony in Dimna under Ulidih police station area.�
At about 10.30 am, Priyabala who worked in a local call centre wanted to switch off an inverter.� But as the portion the inverter had been kept was wet she was electrocuted as soon as she went for pressing its switch.
