Jamshedpur, Oct 8: A police team led by DSP (Law and Order) Vimal Kumar, today arrested Sanjiv Mishra of Bagbera Gandhinagar, Minal Giri alias Sama of Kharagpur and Abhimanyu Pradhan alias Vicky of Gwala Patti in Bagbera in connection with the dacoity of Rs. 6.50 lakh at gun point from trader Rahul Agrawal on September 19 last at about 6:15 pm.
As reported earlier, Rahul Agrawal was closing his shop at Parsudih Bazar Samiti complex when four unknown criminals snatched his bag containing Rs 6.50 lakhs at gun point and escaped on a motorcycle while warning him of dire consequences if he raised an alarm.
On a written complaint lodged at Parsudih PS by Rahul Agrawal a case, no 215/16 dated 19/9/’16 was filed. The investigation led by DSP (L & O) Vimal Kumar led to the arrest of the above named accused and one double barreled and another single barreled country made pistols, both loaded, were recovered from their possession.
An Apache motorcycle (registration number JH 05 Y 3460) that was used by the looters during the dacoity was also recovered.
During interrogation, the arrested criminals named Istiquar Hussain alias Bada Chini alias Raja of Purulia Road no 14 under Azadnagar PS, Md Ansari of Azad Basti, PS Mango and Sonu Mishra of Jugsalai under Jugsalai PS who are now absconding, as also being involved in the incident of crime.
The arrested also stated that the looted money was in the possession of the absconding Istiquar Hussain alias Bada Chini alias Raja.
The other members of the investigating team included police inspectors Shankar Thakur (OC Parsudih PS), Lakshman Prasad (OC Jugsalai PS), Animesh Gupta (OC, Kadma PS), Srinivas (OC, Golmuri PS) and Rajiv Ranjan Lal (OC, Sitaramdera PS).
