Three of family murdered near Jamshedpur

Chakradharpur, Nov 11: Three members of a same family residing in Podenger village under Bandgaon police station of Chakradharpur were killed. The assailants buried their dead bodies on the Koel Karo river bank. On Wednesday, the Bandgaon police recovered the bodies on the behest of the accused.

In the late evening, the bodies were brought to the Sub-Divisional Hospital Chakradharpur. The post-mortem was conducted on Thursday. According to the information, 48-year-old Salem Danga, his wife Belani Danga, 40-year-old and younger daughter Rahil Danga, 13, were murdered by nine people of the village with a knife in a mutual dispute.

 All three were missing since Sunday evening. Bandgaon police came into action and started searching and interrogating the three after getting information about the missing. During this, Marx Danga of the village was taken into custody and questioned by the police.

He confessed to having committed the murder and informed that all three were buried. Bandgaon police had recovered the bodies of the three from the Koel Karo river ghat. Bandgaon Police has arrested four people in this case. However, five people are absconding. All were arrested on the statement of accused Marx Danga.

DSP Dilip Khalkho, in-charge of Chakradharpur said that three members of the same family were killed in Podenger village due to mutual enmity. The brother-in-law of the deceased, Augustine Horo, said that the deceased Salem Danga has three daughters 18-year-old Basanti Danga and 15-year-old Susana Danga were in their aunt’s house because of this his life was saved.
