Three killed in Pakistan blast

Islamabad, May 11 (IANS) At least three people were killed on Monday in a blast of a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) in Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).

The incident occurred in Bajaur agency’s Mamond tehsil, Dawn online reported.

According to sources, tribal elder Malak Muhammad Jan was on his way to the Har area when an IED planted on the roadside went off.

The pro-government tribal elder and two of his guards died in the blast while the vehicle they were travelling in was also severely damaged.
