Jamshedpur, Aug 19: State food and civil supplies minister Saryu Roy distributed sewing machines among three students of Jamshedpur Girls High School (JGHS), Garamnala on Monday. The machines were sponsored by Dinesh Sonthalia. Roy also inaugurated Sushma Swaraj Park and laid the foundation of water harvesting system on the school campus.
Roy had earlier announced that sewing machines would be given to the students who had performed well in their Matriculation Board exams.
DEO Shivendra Kumar, Ashok Goyal, SP Singh, Harendra Pandey, Abhishek Shukla and Neeru Singh were also present during the event.
