Jamshedpur: Three persons were seriously injured in a road accident on the Tata-Hata main road under Potka police station area on Saturday. They were taken to MGM Hospital where their condition was reportedly critical.

Sources said the mishap occurred around 10 am when a pick-up van carrying mineral water overturned near Manglasai. The incident was caused when the driver tried to avoid hitting a pedestrian crossing the road. The pedestrian and the driver and cleaner of the van were injured in the incident.

After the incident, local villagers rushed to loot the water bottles from the van instead of showing humanity by helping the victims.

Members of a local political party informed police about the incident. Police sent the victims to a local nursing home from where the three were sent to MGM Hospital.
