Jamshedpur, Sept 15: The three day exhibition cum sale fare Conzumex organized by the Jamshedpur chapter of the Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM) got underway today at Tulsi Bhawan. Stalls with an array of dress materials for children and women, sarees, bed covers, handicrafts, artificial jewelry, decorative craftwork and household essentials had been set up at the air-conditioned hall. The fair which will be on up till Tuesday, September 17 will be open between 11 am and 9 pm daily. The formal inauguration was performed by Jamshedpur Bar Association general secretary Anil Kumar Tiwary who appreciated this endeavor of the MMM for aiding women seeking economic independence. He observed that although this was organized by women of the Marwari community, they went beyond the community demarcation to reach out helping hands to their counterparts from other communities as well. MMM president Vibha Dudani chaired the inaugural programme.
Bina Agrawal informed that women from Jharkhand along with those from Saraikela, Chaibasa, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Purulia, Kolkata, Raipur and Odisha had put up stalls at the Conzumex Fair.
The MMM organizing committee comprises Jaya Dokania, Lata Agrawal, Sushila Khirwal, Prabha Padiya, Manju Khandelwal, Bina Khirwal, Kiran Debuka, Saroj Chetani, Seema Jawanpuria, Pushpa Murarka, Sudha Agrawal, Gita Murarka, Seema Agrawal, Manju Musaidi, Jyotsna Agrawal, Nisha Nagelia and Kiran Garhwal.
