Three children injured as bamboos fall at school in Bhuiyandih

Jamshedpur : In a shocking incident, three school children were injured, one of them seriously when a heap of bamboos fell at a government-aided primary school at Bhuiyandih under Sitaramdera police station area today.

The injured children were rushed to MGM Medical College and Hospital emergency where two of them were released after first-aid, where as the one having serious injuries has been admitted at the medical college hospital.

The seriously-injured, Angad Bhuiyan a student of class three of the aided school was injured under the pile of bamboos and sustained injuries in the chest.

The bamboos used for erection of pandals belonged to Baldev Bhuiyan, younger brother of former minister Dulal Bhuiyan.

The school, Bir Birsa Munda Harizan Adivasi School, is also managed by Dulal Bhuiyan.

Meanwhile additional district project officer, East Singhbhum, Prakas Kumar said the management of the
school is responsible for such incident.

Officer-in-charge, Sitaramdera police station Sushil Kumar Chowdhury said that they have not received a
complaint either from the injured children or from the school management.

” We will take necessary action once the statement is referred to the police station,” said the officer-in-charge.

He also claimed that he would ensure that the bamboos are removed from the school premises
