Three arrested with arms in Mango shootout case

Jamshedpur, April 15: Mango police here on Friday arrested three persons in connection with the incident of firing on Anil Burman, a local jeweler, on 13th April last.

Those arrested were identified as Sumit Kumar, Rishu Kumar and Bablu Murmu alias Batul, all residents of Kaveri Road, Daiguttu under Mango PS. They were forwarded to judicial custody.

According to SP (City) K Vijay Shankar, the accused persons had bought a gun from Bihar for Rs 5000. The three accused had planned the attack on Burman. Rishu had fired on Burman when the latter was on his way home after shutting down his shop at night. After the incident, the three accused ran away in different directions, said the SP.

The SP said a month old dispute between Rishu and Burman had led to the incident. He said the accused were caught on the basis of their mobile phone locations. The incident of firing was captured in a CCTV camera installed nearby. The three were caught from Pardih. They were about to carry out some major crime, said the SP.
