Jamshedpur, Feb 15: Sidhgora police arrested three persons and recovered arms from their possession on Wednesday. The accused persons, identified as Rakesh Kumar Poddar, Vinod Kumar Kamat and Rahul Singh, were arrested in a raid conducted at Quarter No. L4/31 at Cross Road No. 4 in Agrico. Cops confiscated a country-made pistol, two bikes, four mobile phones and Rs 40,000 cash during the raid.
According to Ravi Ranjan Kumar, officer-in-charge of Sidhgora police station, a patrol team noticed some unusual activity inside the flat which was locked from outside. On seeing lights switched on inside the flat, cops got the flat opened and found Rakesh and Vinod inside. On questioning them, cops found their activities suspicious. During inspection of the house, they found the gun kept inside. During interrogation, it was further found that Anshu Chouhan, member of Kanhaiya Dubey gang, had given them the gun and cash for safely keeping the same. The quarter has been allegedly encroached by Anshu Chouhan, who was recently arrested with a loaded gun from Civil Court premises.
