Jamshedpur: Police arrested three persons in connection with Mohit murder case of Chandil on Tuesday.
Those arrested were identified as Raja Singh, Shankar Mahato and Kailash Mahato.
According to the SDPO of Chandil, Dhirendra Banka, Raja Singh had set out of Mohit Kumar�s house in Mqango on 24th December last. On reaching Dimna and Baba Bhootnath eatery at Chandil, the accused persons drank alcohol with the deceased. When Mohit lost consciousness due to excessive drinking, Raja and his friends Sudhanshu Shekhar and Haldhar Mahato allegedly pushed him in a large drain. Mohit died after sustaining critical injuries. In a bid to hide evidence of murder, the eatery owner Shankar Mahato and his staff Kailash Mahato carried the body of the deceased to a canal in Asanbani and dumped it there.
Later, cops arrested the accused persons and also recovered the three-wheeler used in transporting the body.
