Chaibasa, Dec. 2: The third phase of the three-tier panchayat election in West Singhbhum district will be held on December 5.
Elections will be held Monoharpur and Anandapur blocs and the polling officers these blocks were asked to collect election materials and ballot boxes from Madhusudan Senior Secondary School, Asantalia, Chakradharpur, whereas polling officials of Noamundi block have been asked to collect ballot boxes and election materials from Jagnnathpur Rassel Higher SecondaySchool on December 3.
Despite the strict order to attend today�s meeting, 52 polling officers did not join. The district election commissioner Aboo Backer Sidhuque took strong action and ordered the authorities to lodge FIR against the defaulting polling officers and take action according to The Representative of People Act.
There is a possibility that they may even be suspended. However, the matter was brought to the knowledge of election commission for further necessary actions.
For the third phase election in three blocks Noamundi , Anandapur and Monoharpur a total of 1992 polling officers are deployed in 498 booths along with reserved polling officer on Thursday morning .
