Jamshedpur: In a shocking incident, thieves executed a major burglary at Bungalow No. 12B, situated merely 50 meters from the Burmamines police station. The bungalow belongs to CRPF jawan Manish Kumar Tiwari, who resides there with his family. The theft has raised serious questions about the security measures in place, especially given the close proximity to the police station.

According to reports, the incident occurred when Manish Kumar Tiwari and his family had gone to their native village in Tapargarh, Uttar Pradesh, on February 5. Upon returning on Thursday, they were devastated to find that their house had been looted. The thieves made away with valuables worth approximately three lakhs of rupees, including ₹25,000 in cash.
As soon as the incident was reported, police officials from Burmamines police station arrived at the scene and began their investigation. They are currently examining CCTV footage from the area in hopes of identifying the culprits. The footage is being closely analyzed to track any suspicious movements or individuals in the vicinity during the time of the theft.

The audacity of the thieves to target a house located just a few steps away from a police station has sparked outrage among local residents. Many are questioning the effectiveness of the security arrangements and the vigilance of the local law enforcement. Residents expressed concern about the growing frequency of thefts and burglaries in the area, calling for stricter patrolling and better surveillance systems to ensure safety.
Speaking to the media, Manish Kumar Tiwari expressed his shock and disappointment over the incident. “We felt secure living so close to a police station, but this incident has shaken our confidence. We never expected something like this to happen,” he said. His family is traumatized by the ordeal, and they are urging the police to take swift action to apprehend the thieves.
Local authorities are also under pressure to improve security measures following this incident. Community leaders and residents are demanding more police patrolling, especially in residential areas close to police establishments. Some have also suggested the installation of additional CCTV cameras and improved street lighting to deter criminal activities.
The police have assured the public that they are actively pursuing leads and are committed to solving the case at the earliest. “We are reviewing the CCTV footage and questioning potential witnesses. We are confident that the culprits will be identified soon,” stated a senior officer from the Burmamines police station.
