Jamshedpur, March 9:   Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy organized a Holi Milan programme with BJM leaders, workers and supporters at his Assembly office in Baridih. The MLA’s office was splashed and sprayed with the rainbow hues of Holi. The spirit of the festival was in ample evidence as Phagua (Holi) songs with their rustic and traditional touches and the aroma of Holi delicacies added to the excitement of celebrating the festival of colours.

While wishing all peace, prosperity, progress and joy by applying Abir and Gulal to all, the legislator observed, “There is no substitute for Holi Festival. This is an occasion to celebrate joy with enthusiasm. After the COVID-19 painful lull, the celebratory spirit of Holi this year is back with more enthusiasm.”

Saryu Roy further stated on the occasion, “Holi is celebration of nature in all its forms of divinity. The spirit of excitement and joy commences during Basant Panchami and it reaches a crescendo on Holi or Phagua celebrations. People express their feelings of joy by applying colours on one another as a gesture of peace and brotherhood. This is a unique Indian festival that has no parallel anywhere else in the world.” BJM District President Subodh Srivastava congratulated all citizens on Holi and wished everyone a happy life.
