Theft at Chakulia Naga Mandir

Jamshedpur: Antisocial elements committed robbery in Chakulia�s famous Naga Baba Mandir in the late hours of last night. When the temple priest Dilip Pati reached the temple today morning, he found the lock of the cash donation box broken. The cash had been taken away by the thieves.

They had also stolen puja materials from the Ram Mandir and Bajrangbali Mandir in the same complex. The stolen items included six bronze plates, six bronze pots, lamp stand and other worshipping requisites.

On discovering the incident, Dilip Pati informed the temple committee who immediately passed on the information to Chakulia police. On arrival, the police team carried out investigations. An axe outside the temple was found. At the time of going to press the Chakulia police have not yet found any trace of the robbers.
