Jamshedpur, July 19: On the second day of the weeklong Shrimad Bhagwat Katha being held at Shri Rajasthan Shiv Mandir in Jugsalai, renowned Katha Vachak (narrator) Dr Sanjeev Krishna Thakur Ji Maharaj from Sridham Vrindavan delivered a discourse on the episodes related to Pandavas, King Parikshit’s curse and the emergence of Lord Shukadeva.

The Maharaj explained that when one walked the path of righteousness and truth, numerous obstacles and challenges confronted them during their trek through life. “Some people resort to falsehood to escape those hurdles. However, those who remain steadfast in truth even in adverse circumstances, find themselves supported by the Lord Himself. The life of the Pandavas, who remained committed to the path of truth, serves as an inspiring lesson for us. Those who tread the path of truth inevitably find the companionship of the Supreme Truth. God is present with an individual even during times of sorrow. Therefore, devotees should not be discouraged by difficulties,” observed narrator, Dr Sanjeev Krishna Thakur.

Maharaj Ji elaborated on the significance of the Bhagwat Mahatmya (the glory of Bhagwat) and conducted an in-depth discussion on the topic.

After the Katha session on the second day, the hosts comprising the Garhwal family performed the Aarti (ritual of worship) of the Vyasa Peeth (seat). The Bhagwat Katha, organized by Mali Ram and Ghanshyam Das Garhwal, witnessed a large number of devotees from various regions on Wednesday who were immersed in the Bhagwat Katha that was delivered by Katha Vachak Dr Sanjeev Krishna Thakur in his mellifluous voice that added to the devotional aura.
