Jamshedpur: The 131st birth anniversary celebration of Thakur Anukul Chandra was organized today by the Jamshedpur East Satsang Centre today at Ghodabandha. The 18th Foundation day of the East Jamshedpur Satsang Kendra was also observed. The celebration commenced at 4 am with Usha Kirtan. From 6:30 am prayers were recited, Nam Jap and message of Anukul Thakur was recited. The devotees performed Bhajan and Kirtan.
A Dharm Sabha was conducted where the devotees offered their depiction on �The relevance of Sri-Sri Thakur�s ideology and messages� as solutions to present day problems. Adarsh Guru Bhais and Guru Sisters pledged to follow Thakur Anukul Chandra�s directives throughlife.
Vinti- Prathana, Bhajan-Kirtan, Anand Bazaar, Satya Anusaran Path were also conducted on the occasion. A Matri Sammelan in which women presented religious songs, was also convened during the anniversary observation.
In the afternoon a Bhandara was conducted in which more than seven thousand devotees partook of the holy food offerings.
Later, popular Baul sangeet singer from Kolkata, Apili Dutta Bhowmick presented Baul, devotional and folk songs that captivated the devotees.
Mira Munda who was present on the occasion observed, �Without prayers to Divinity, life remains incomplete. The Guru alone helps one to attain God.. Thakur Anukul Chandra aided in spreading prayer to Divinity and even today he remains our source of inspiration.�
