TFA trials attract over 1,600 applications from across 26 states

Jamshedpur, November 12: Jamshedpur FC U15 (TFA), known for its excellence in youth football development, is set to conduct its U15 trials from 19th to 30th November 2024.

The academy has witnessed an overwhelming response this year, with 1,648 applications received from aspiring players across 26 states and union territories in the country. Out of these, 1,095 young talents have been shortlisted to participate in the trials, highlighting TFA’s extensive reach and the growing popularity of football among India’s youth.

Applicants span from the western reaches of Gujarat to the eastern state of Manipur, and from southern Kerala to northern Himachal Pradesh, highlighting the widespread enthusiasm for TFA’s trials across India.

The demographic distribution of applicants highlights TFA’s national influence, with the highest number of applications coming from Kerala (334 candidates), followed by Jharkhand (280 candidates).

Owing to large number of applicants, special dates have been allocated for these states, with Kerala’s players attending Batch IV and Jharkhand’s players in Batch II.

The trials have been scheduled in batches, grouping participants by region to ensure that all candidates have opportunity to showcase their skills. The batch details are as follows:

 

Batch I  (19th & 20th November)

Regions: West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh

Total Candidates: 245

Batch II (21st & 22nd November)

Region: Jharkhand

Total Candidates: 280

Batch III (25th & 26th November)

Regions: Assam, Chandigarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Pondicherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh

Total Candidates: 236

Batch IV (27th & 28th November)

Region: Kerala

Total Candidates: 334

The final selection trials will be conducted on 29th and 30th November, where standout players from each batch will compete for a place at TFA.
