Jamshedpur, Sept 2: Khonsham Sana and Swaroop Das of Tata Football Academy scored a goal each in the final of the JSA Premier League to beat Tata Steel by 2-0 at Keenan Stadium on Tuesday.
TFA won the title after 2 years as Tata Steel had their hand at the trophy in 2014. Match played in front of capacity crowd saw TFA team get a controversial penalty just 3 minutes in the game.
Khonsham without wasting the opportunity made his team take 1-0 lead. Rain made the contest even more interesting with both the teams displaying their skills.
In the 39th minute of the game Swaroop Das got an opportunity and he converted it into goal making his team 2-0 in the lead.
In the second half Tata Steel tried to come back but luck also didn�t favour the team. During the match TFA�s Firoz, Hitesh, Khonsham Sana and Samrat were given yellow card.
Refree gave Red card (Two consecutive yellow cards) to Ghanshyam Murmu of Tata Steel in the 75th minute and moved him out of the match.
At the prize distribution function Sunil Bhaskaran, VP (CS) Tata Steel was Chief Guest and handed over the trophy and prizes to the winners along with R Ravi Prasad, President of Tata Workers Union, BK Dinda, General Secretary of TWU, Charles Borommeo, Firoz Khan, Hassan Imam Mallick and others.
