Jamshedpur, April 30: A football coaching camp for the young rural talent from Unit VI Athletic Association, Bhubaneswar was conducted from April 18 � 30, 2015 at the Tata Football Academy (TFA), Jamshedpur.
20 budding football talents, shortlisted from all over Odisha State, below the age of 16 went through an intensive and advanced training at TFA under the expert guidance of TFA Coaches, Mr. Vijay Kumar and Mr. Ashok Tudu.
The training was conducted at TFA and Armoury Ground and covered the basic techniques of football. Special emphasis was laid on agility, shooting and isometric flexibility.
Besides training, the campers also went through classroom sessions, conducted by Mr. Shashi Ranjan Sahay, Physiotherapist who gave them inputs on physiology and injury prevention while Mr. Vijay Kumar gave inputs on finer aspects of football. The team also played friendly matches against local teams.
Kulvin Suri, Chief Corporate Communications (India and SE Asia), Tata Steel, was the Chief Guest at the concluding function and gave away certificates to the participants.
The overall discipline of the boys in and out of the field was commendable. Some boys from this camp showed exceptional talent and they will be closely monitored by TFA Coaches for future induction into Tata Football Academy.
