Jamshedpur, July 5: An unknown tempo driver absconded with dhoti, saree and lungi (692 pieces) of Jharkhand government’s Sona-Sobran Dhoti-Sari scheme. The incident took place at 10 am on July 4.
In this regard, a case has been registered by PDS dealer Puran Sao in Sidgora police station. Puran Sao has a PDS shop in Birsa Nagar. On Tuesday morning at 10 am, Puran Sao got 692 pieces (Sari-346, Dhoti-208 and 138 Lungi) dhoti-sari and lungi loaded in a passenger tempo from SFC godown located in Burmamines and took them to Birsanagar.
Tempo was going in front and Puran Sao was going behind it.
Near the Agrico traffic signal, the auto driver drove away with the tempo. Puran Sao felt that the tempo must have reached Birsanagar. But the tempo driver did not reach.
The tempo driver was going to Birsanagar via Golmuri after taking goods from Burmamines godown. The tempo was shown at 11:14 am in the CCTV installed in Golmuri market. But the vehicle registration number could not be clarified.
