Ranchi, June 18: The Jharkhand government continued its focused efforts to create promising career opportunities for the state’s youth in the technology sector. Taking a significant step in this direction, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday between the Department of School Education and Literacy and HCL Technologies for the TechBee program. The signing took place in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Jharkhand Ministry.

The TechBee initiative aimed to provide employment-oriented technical training to students who had passed their 12th grade. Eligible students would not only receive professional training under this programme but would also get opportunities for higher education and job placements in the IT sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Hemant Soren emphasized the transformative potential of the TechBee program. “Placement-linked training initiatives like TechBee can open the doors to a bright future for Jharkhand’s youth,” he said. The Chief Minister assured full support from the state government to all organizations willing to invest in the skill development of local youth.

He further stated that the youth of Jharkhand were brimming with talent and potential, and only needed the right guidance and opportunities. The TechBee initiative, he added, was designed to fulfill this need and align students with meaningful careers in the fast-growing IT industry.

In line with his government’s commitment to quality education and employment generation, Soren directed the Education Department to ensure that detailed information about the TechBee program reached every school across the state. The goal was to maximize awareness and student participation.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the ongoing “Guruji Credit Card Scheme,” through which the government provided up to Rs 15 lakh in unsecured loans for higher education. This scheme was proving beneficial for students pursuing engineering, management, and other professional courses, ensuring that no student was denied education due to financial limitations.

Soren reiterated that guiding the younger generation onto the path of self-reliance and future readiness was a top priority for his administration. Initiatives like TechBee were integral to this mission and represented a strong move towards a digitally and technologically empowered Jharkhand.

The event was also attended by School Education and Literacy Minister Ramdas Soren, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary to the CM Avinash Kumar, Secretary of the Education Department Umashankar Singh, JSPE Director Shashi Ranjan, and HCL Technologies Senior Vice President Subbaraman Balasubramaniam.
