Jamshedpur, March 1: Shavak Nanavati Technical Institute (SNTI) will host its 8th Technical Exhibition (Tech Ex) from March 2 to 5, 2016.
Keeping in line with the theme of “Future Ready,” the young trainees at SNTI and employees of Tatat Steel, Tata Motors, TCIL, Tayo Rolls, and the utility services company Jusco are making a concerted effort to develop innovative models based on the principles of science and engineering, said Dr. S.K. Singh, Chief Capability Development.
Addressing a press conference at SNTI on Tuesday, Dr. Singh said, “Dr. Gopichand Katragadda, Group Chief Technology Officer, Tata Sons, will grace the occasion as the chief guest and will inaugurate the event at the SNTI auditorium at 4 p.m. on March 2.
He will be accompanied by T V Narendran, managing director, Tata Steel, along with president and other vice-presidents of the company. The managing directors and senior management officials from different Tata Steel associate companies, including TCIL, Jusco, Tayo Rolls, ISWP, TRF and NTTF will also be present on the occasion.
He further informed that a vibrant educational atmosphere will be on display in various stalls depicting the technical prowess of the young talents of the organization. A total of 54 creative ideas with working models having a potential of wide application in various manufacturing industries across the country will be on display.
“Technical Exhibition is a platform for building a culture of creativity and innovation within the organization.
The key attractions of the exhibition will be various innovative ideas being exhibited in eight major themes including New Age Transformation, Technical Creativity, Digitalization, Sustainability, Engineering Excellence, Cutting Edge Solution, Emerging Technology and Innovation,” Dr. S.K. Singh said, adding, “The function will attract a wide participation of visitors from all walks of life, including senior students from schools, colleges including engineering colleges and different organizations in an around Jamshedpur.
