Teachers today must be technologically advanced: Pragya Singh

Capacity building programme emphasizes on activity and games oriented teaching-learning process

Jamshedpur: Under the aegis of DAVCAE, three-day long capacity building programme scheduled from 13th to 15th September for teachers of DAV Public Schools began on Thursday.

The programme started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp with grace and austerity by the Principals of cluster schools. Pragya Singh, Principal of the host school DAV Bistupur in her address stated that keeping in view of the rapid changes occurring in the academic scenario of present days, the teachers must be technologically advanced and highly sensitive to the students of present generation to enrich them academically as they are teaching the largest number of students worldwide.

There were 179 teachers from the Singhbhum Cluster schools, i.e., DAV Public School, Bistupur, DAV Public School, Chaibasa, DAV Public School, Baharagora and DAV Public School, N I T Campus, Adityapur.

Emphasis was laid on activity-oriented and games-oriented teaching-learning process for the children of classes from Nursery to Std. X. Suggestions such as Brain Storming, SURDS and (A+B)A3 was given by experts of Mathematics. The Master Trainer of S. St. presented a wonderful process of classroom management and perspective of social science subject.

The experts of English laid stress on improving the listening skill and skill of vocabulary building, pronunciation and correct usage of language. In Science, emphasis was laid on endearing the subject to the students by adding graphical representations and enquiry-based learning in the teaching-learning process. In the workshop of Computer Science, explanation was given on Google Drive and Docs.
