Teachers’ Day celebrated at Govind Vidyalaya

Jamshedpur: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with fervour at Govind Vidyalaya on Tuesday. The director of the school Dr Bramhadutt Sharma inaugurated the function by garlanding a portrait of the former President of India Dr S Radhakrishnan and lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Kaushik Kundu, a class XII student, gave the welcome speech. The sudents sang a song dedicated to teachers. They also performed dance on the occasion.

Dr Sharma spoke on the importance of Teachers’ Day and bid farewell to the vice principal of the school Molly Majumdar. A memento was also given to the vice president on behalf of the students, teachers and school management.

The programme was conducted by Neha Parveen and Shagufta. A vote of thanks was proposed by Aftab Alam.
