Jamshedpur, May 31: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) recently declared the Class 12 Science results, and among the many inspiring stories, Ankit Kumar Sah’s journey stands out. A resident of West Singhbhum district, Ankit has emerged as the second topper in the state, scoring 476 out of 500 marks, proving that determination can overcome even the toughest challenges.
A student of Noamundi Inter College, Ankit comes from a humble background. His father, Anil Sah, runs a small tea stall to support the family. Despite financial struggles, Ankit remained focused on his studies, often preparing behind the tea shop while helping his father. His hard work, consistency, and dedication paid off, making him not just the state’s second topper, but also the top scorer from the Kolhan region.

In addition to his board success, Ankit has achieved an impressive 99.68 percentile in the JEE Main 2025. He now aims to crack the JEE Advanced and secure a seat at one of the country’s top Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). His dream is to pursue a career in computer science and contribute to India’s technological progress.
Ankit attributes his success to discipline, time management, and continuous practice. He avoided distractions like mobile phones and social media and focused on regular study and solving previous years’ question papers. He also acknowledged the valuable support and guidance from his school teachers and local coaching centres.
The announcement of Ankit’s achievement left his family emotional. His father was all tears when he observed, “Our son has honoured our struggles. His dream is to become an IITian, and we will support him every step of the way.”
