Jamshedpur, Oct 14: Tata Steels Tribal Cultural Society (TCS) has now a team to offer systematized and step-by-step learning for Warang Kshiti, the script for Ho language.
A team of 190 people, including teachers and academicians, is a result of a nine-day training that concluded on 13th October, 2015 at Tribal Culture Centre, Sonari.
Organised by TCS, the training focused on adopting teaching approaches and methodologies in accordance with a three-tier course module for Warang Kshiti, launched by TCS last month. The three-tier course module aims to cater to Warang Kshiti learners at three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
All these 190 people are associated with 150 tribal language centres run by TCS in East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan.
Over 7,000 learners are enrolled in these centres. In its bid to spread awareness about tribal scripts among the new generation and to disseminate basic knowledge on the same, TCS has been running tribal language learning centres since 2011.
Earlier, a similar nine-day training programme was organised by TCS to promote Ol Chiki, the Santali script.
