Jamshedpur, Feb. 22: Tata Steel�s Tribal Cultural Society (TCS) today distributed 60 tablets among the learning centre coordinators looking after Santali and Ho learning centers in Kolhan.
The move will help streamlining reporting and documentation across 300 tribal language centers � 150 each in Santali and Ho, which are run by TCS in Kolhan.
All the 60 coordinators have been trained by IT expert on using tab effectively.
Urmila Ekka, honorary secretary, TCS, handed over tablets to the learning centre coordinators at the workshop held today at the Tribal Culture Centre, Sonari. Biren Bhuta, Chief, CSR, Tata Steel, along with team members encouraged the coordinators to use tab regularly for reporting and documentation purpose.
Tablets will immensely benefit the coordinators for reporting as well as documentation of dying art forms, play etc in tribal languages.
In its attempt to spread awareness about tribal scripts among the new generation and to disseminate basic knowledge on the same, TCS operates tribal language learning centers.
