Jamshedpur, Sep 14: On the eve of Engineers Day to be held on 15th September, the Institution of Engineers (India), Jamshedpur local Centre organized �Engineering Quiz� for the students of Polytechnic/Engineering Colleges, graduate trainees, members of Technician Chapter and corporate members from different industrial and R&D organizations of Jamshedpur city.
The Theme of the Quiz has �General Engineering� covering Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Metallurgical and Environmental Engineering. The quiz was held in two rounds- Preliminary and Main round.
Nineteen teams from Steel, TCE, Tinplate co of Jamshedpur, Jemco etc. participated in the preliminary round and five selected teams participated in the final round.
Dr. Ashok Kr Vaish, Immediate Past Hony. Secretary of the Institution of Engineers and Emeritus Scientist CSIR NML was the Quiz Master for the event.
After hard fought rounds were sharp minds ruled questions were asked from the audiences as well. Summit Kr Saini & Hrishikesan V M from TCE were adjudged the winners of the competition, Sandeep Mishra & Samaresh Satapathy from SNTI Tata Steel were the runners up while Manish Kumar & Naresh Kumar from Tinplate co. of India Ltd. bagged the third position.
The prizes for the competition will be distributed on 15thSeptember 2014 on the ocassion of Engineers day function.
