Jamshedpur: Passengers in the Chakradharpur Railway Division had long expressed concern over frequent delays in passenger train services. Recently, a sit-in protest was held at Tatanagar Railway Station under the leadership of Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy, followed by a signature campaign by the Rail Yatri Sangharsh Samiti demanding improved punctuality and efficiency.

In response, the railway administration had released passenger feedback highlighting improvements in train operations. In the feedback video, several passengers acknowledged that train punctuality had improved compared to earlier periods, when delays often stretched for hours.

Passengers noted that although occasional delays still occurred, the situation had improved significantly due to continuous efforts by railway authorities. They also appreciated the cleanliness and maintenance standards at Tatanagar Railway Station, stating that it remained one of the better-managed stations in terms of hygiene, seating, drinking water and passenger safety.

Railway officials emphasized that efforts were ongoing to further improve services and infrastructure. However, passengers also urged the administration to focus more on ensuring consistent punctuality, especially for long-distance and daily commuters.

It is noteworthy that freight train prioritization has often affected passenger train schedules in the division. With the release of positive passenger feedback, authorities indicated progress in addressing long-standing issues, though commuters expected sustained and long-term improvements in railway services.
