Tatanagar: LTT-Shalimar Express, CSMT Mumbai-Howrah Express to remian cancelled

Several trains including Tata Itwari Express cancelled due to developmental works in Nagpur Division

Jamshedpur: In a significant development, the South East Central Railway’s Nagpur Division has announced the cancellation of several trains owing to essential developmental works. The scheduled cancellations are set to commence from 4th December 2023 and extend till 14th December 2023, affecting the travel plans of numerous passengers. The decision to halt train services temporarily is in line with the railway’s commitment to infrastructure development and enhancement.

 

The affected trains include the 18109 Tatanagar-Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari Express and the 18110 Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari–Tatanagar Express, both witnessing cancellations from 4th December 2023 to 12th December 2023. Passengers planning to travel on the 12870 Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Weekly Express and the 12869 CSMT Mumbai-Howrah Weekly Express should take note of their cancellation on 8th December 2023 and 10th December 2023, respectively.

Further impacting the travel schedule, the 22905 Okha-Shalimar Express will be canceled on 10th December 2023, while the return journey of the Shalimar-Okha Express will be halted on 12th December 2023. The Hatia-LTT (Mumbai) Express (12812) will remain canceled on 8th and 9th December 2023, while the return journey, LTT (Mumbai)-Hatia Express (12811), will be affected on 10th and 11th December 2023.

Additionally, the 20822 Santragachi-Pune Humsafar Express and its counterpart, the 20821 Pune-Santragachi Humsafar Express, will face cancellations on 9th December 2023 and 11th December 2023, respectively. The Hazur Sahib Nanded-Santragachi Express (12767) will be canceled on 4th and 11th December 2023, while the Santragachi-Hazur Sahib Nanded Express (12768) will see cancellations on 6th and 13th December 2023.

 

Passengers planning to travel on the 13425 Malda Town-Surat Express should note its cancellations on 2nd and 9th December 2023, with the return journey (13426 Surat-Malda Town Express) facing cancellations on 4th and 11th December 2023.

 

The LTT (Mumbai)-Shalimar Express (12101) and Shalimar-LTT (Mumbai) Express (12102) will both be canceled on multiple dates, affecting travel plans on 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th December 2023.

 

“ Passengers are advised to stay updated with official announcements and consider alternative travel arrangements during this period. The cancellations are a temporary inconvenience aimed at ensuring enhanced safety and efficiency for future rail travel in the Nagpur Division,” said an official.

 

The cancellations have sparked discussions within the community, with passengers sharing their experiences and seeking updates on the progress of the developmental works. This collective dialogue emphasizes the interconnectedness of rail travel and the importance of community awareness.
