Trains cancelled in Chakradharpur Division for Normal Height Subway launch

Jamshedpur, May 21: In light of the completion of the Traffic-cum-Power Block for the launching of a Normal Height Subway between Kanshbahal-Rajgangpur Stations in the Chakradharpur Division of the South Eastern Railway, several trains were regulated and cancelled. The cancellations were necessary to facilitate the successful implementation of the developmental project.
The following trains, scheduled for journeys commencing on May 23 and May 24, 2023, have been cancelled:
1) 18109/18110 Tatanagar-Itwari-Tatanagar Express journey commencing on 24.5.2023 will remain cancelled
2) 08167/08168 Rourkela-Jharsuguda-Rourkela MEMU Special journey commencing on 24.5.2023 will remain cancelled
3) 18113/18114 Tatanagar-Bilaspur-Tatanagar Express journey commencing on 24.5.2023 will remain cancelled
4) 18125/18126 Rourkela-Puri-Rourkela Express journey commencing on 24.5.2023 will remain cancelled
5) 18107/18108 Rourkela-Jagdalpur-Rourkela Intercity Express journey commencing on 24.5.2023 will remain cancelled
6) 18175/18176 Hatia-Jharsuguda-Hatia MEMU Express journey commencing on 24.5.2023 will remain cancelled
7) 12261 Mumbai CSMT-Howrah Duronto Express journey commencing on 23.5.2023 will remain cancelled
8) 12262 Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Duronto Express journey commencing on 24.5.2023 will remain cancelled
The passengers have been advised to take note of these cancellations and make alternative travel arrangements accordingly. The South Eastern Railway has apologized for any inconvenience caused and assured passengers that efforts were being made to minimize disruptions and complete the works at the earliest.

Cancelling an important train like CSMT-Howrah Duronto Express is ridiculous. Perhaps it could be diverted through a different route, May be via Prayagraj or… the Railway Authorities know it better. Please avoid harassing common people in the name of ‘development’.
