Train services disrupted due to Howrah-Mumbai Mail derailment

Jamshedpur, July 31: Following the derailment of the 12810 Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Mail near Barabambo station in Chakradharpur Division on July 30, 2024, several train services have been disrupted. The South Eastern Railway announced the cancellation, short termination, and restoration of several train services.

The 18011 Howrah-Chakradharpur Express, commencing its journey on July 31, 2024, will be short-terminated at Adra. In a positive update, the 13287 Durg-Ara Express, which was initially decided to be short-terminated at Jharsuguda, will now run on its normal route.
Efforts are underway to restore normal train operations. The bi-directional third line is expected to be operational within a few hours on July 31, with the other two lines planned to be operational in due course.
Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager of South Eastern Railway, and Arun Jatoh Rathod, Divisional Railway Manager of Chakradharpur, along with principal officers of SER and senior officers from the Railway Board, are present at the site to oversee the restoration efforts.
