Jamshedpur, Oct 13: The weekly train service, Tatanagar–Ernakulum had been suspended since the COVID-19 period. The resumption of this service was hanging fire. Jamshedpur parliamentarian, Bidyut Baran Mahto was appraised of the difficulties and the MP took up the issue with the railway authorities.The rail management agreed to resume the services. The rail management also found the demand for the weekly tata-Ernakulum be converted into a daily service acceptable. Tata-Ernakulum rail services will reesume shortly after arrangement for proper coaches were made.
The announcement was greeted with joy. A delegation of Telugu Youth Federation met MP Bidyut Baran Mahto at his Bistupur office and thanked him for his endeavor not only to ensure resumption of services but also for converting the running schedule of the train from weekly to daily. The MP was garlanded and presented angavastram on the occasion.
