Tatanagar: Duronto Express among several trains to remain cancelled on April 25-26 due to third line work

Jamshedpur: Train services are expected to be affected on April 25-26 due to the third line work. The work will be carried out by the railway authorities to improve the infrastructure and enhance the overall experience of passengers.

Train services would remain affected on April 25 and 26 due to the construction of the new third line between Dharudiha and Bamra stations in Odisha.

During this period, some train services are expected to be cancelled, while others may run late or be diverted. The affected routes include major cities and towns on Howrah-Mumbai route.

The railway authorities have advised passengers to check the status of their trains before starting their journey and to plan their travel accordingly. Passengers can also use alternative modes of transportation, such as buses or taxis, if required.

The third line work is an essential infrastructure improvement project that aims to enhance the capacity of the railway network and improve the overall efficiency of train services. The railway authorities have assured that all necessary measures will be taken to minimize inconvenience to passengers during this period.

South Eastern Railway notified cancellation and short termination of several trains because of the block closure to be undertaken on those two days due to the construction of the third line.

The 12261 CSTM- Howrah Duronto Express will remain cancelled on April 25 while Tata-Itwari Express, Tata-Bilaspur Express and Howrah-CSTM Duronto Express will remain cancelled on April 26, Wednesday. The Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Superfast Express will be short-terminated at Chakradharpur railway station on April 26.

The Rajendra Nagar-Durg Express will be short-terminated at Rourkela on April 26. Apart from this, the Kalinga Utkal-Puri Express will run on a re-scheduled time on April 25 while  Lokmanya Tilak-Kamakhya Express will be rescheduled on April 26. Stoppage of trains at Ambadola Stoppage of a couple of trains will be provided at Ambadola station of Sambalpur  Division of East Coast Railway on an experimental basis for a period of six months from  April 24 to October 22.

18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur  Express journey commenced w.e.f  April 24 will arrive in Ambadola at 1.15 pm and will depart at 1.17 pm.

18006 Jagdalpur-Howrah Express journey commencing w.e.f  April 23 will arrive in Ambadola at 12.45 pm and will depart at 12.47 pm.

3.      18113/18114 Tatanagar-Bilaspur-Tatanagar Express, journey commencing on 26.04.2023 will remain cancelled.

4.      18125/18126 Rourkela-Puri-Rourkela Express, journey commencing on 26.04.2023 will remain cancelled.

5.      18108 Jagdalpur-Rourkela Intercity Express, journey commencing on 25.04.2023 will remain cancelled.

6.      18107 Rourkela-Jagdalpur Intercity Express, journey commencing on 26.04.2023 will remain cancelled.

7.      18175/18176 Hatia-Jharsuguda-Hatia MEMU Express, journey commencing on 26.04.2023 will remain cancelled.

8.      18452 Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express, journey commencing on 25.04.2023 will remain cancelled.

9.      18451 Hatia-Puri Tapaswini Express, journey commencing on 26.04.2023 will remain cancelled.

10.  18118 Gunupur-Rourkela Rajyarani Express, journey commencing on 25.04.2023 will remain cancelled.

Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains :-

1.      12871 Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Express, journey commencing on 26.04.2023 will be Short terminated at Chakradharpur and same rake will run as Passenger Special from Chakradharpur to Howrah.

2.      22862 Kantabanji-Howrah Ispat Express, journey commencing on 26.04.2023 will be Short terminated at Sambalpur/Jharsuguda and same rake will run as Passenger Special from Sambalpur/Jharsuguda to Titlagarh/Kantabanji.

3.      13288 Rajendranagar-Durg Express, journey commencing on 25.04.2023 will be Short terminated at Rourkela and same rake will run as Passenger Special from Rourkela to Rajendranagar.

4.      13287 Durg-Rajendranagar Express, journey commencing on 26.04.2023 will be Short terminated at Bilaspur and same rake will run as Passenger Special from Bilaspur to Durg.
