Tata Zoo organises Residential Nature Camp for girls

Jamshedpur: An �awakening� program for the young generation to protect India�s wildlife and to get them closer to the nature for a few days, is being organized at the Nature Education Centre, Tata Steel Zoological Park on March 26 � 28, 2019. The program called Residential Nature Camp for Girls was started in 2007, focusing on women empowerment and the need to make them future women environmentalists and nature loving citizens of India.

Dr. Shukla Mahanty, Vice�Chancellor, Kolhan University, Chaibasa, was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the Residential Nature Camp -2019.  Radhika Singh, Hony. Secretary, Tata Steel Zoological Society was the Guest of Honour. The Camp is supported by M/s Venkats Consultancy, Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary, amongst others.

Over the years, the Nature Camp has focused on educating interested and conversant youth on the need to preserve and protect the environment and its ecology, to conserve the earth�s resources and its natural beauty.  Accordingly, a series of activities are planned during the Camp which are mentioned overleaf.
