Jamshedpur, June 21: Tata Steel Zoological Park observed the 11th International Day of Yoga with a tranquil morning session themed “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” As part of the national Yoga Sangam initiative by the Ministry of Ayush, the event embraced the connection between human wellness and nature.
Led by Dr. Anil Roy, an experienced yoga instructor, the session brought together zoo staff from various departments, including office personnel, animal care teams, and security staff. Against the peaceful backdrop of the zoo’s lush surroundings, participants engaged in a series of gentle practices that promoted physical flexibility, mental calmness, and focused breathing.
A brief concluding talk emphasized the value of consistent practice for improved overall well-being. The event reflected the zoo’s ongoing dedication to holistic health, environmental harmony, and community spirit. Deputy Directors Dr Naim Akhtar and Dr M Palit, attended the yoga session.
