Jamshedpur: The opposition has called for an All India strike on January 8 and 9 against the policies of the central government. TWU partners in the strike are Youth INTUC and the Youth Congress. They have planned to meet the working class people. A meeting to the effect was held at the Tata Workers� Union office which was chaired by TWU assistant secetary Nitesh Raj.
It was decided in the meeting that as a part of the PR program, teams would meet workers at city malls and then would be asked to join the strike. The teams will also hold street corner meetings. Torch light processions will also be taken out.
Gate meetings with workers in the Adityapur Industrial area will also be convened. The meeting comprised Md Naushad, Md Alam, Manish Kumar Singh, Raja Singh, Raj Kumar Paswan, Shafi-ur-Rahman and others.
