Tata Workers’ Union leaders recount members’ participation in Quit India movement

Jamshedpur: The Tata Workers’ Union (TWU) celebrated the 77^th year of India’s independence with its office bearers hoisting the National flags at several places including the TWU Office, its rest house and The Bari Maidan.

TWU General Secretary, Satish Singh while unfurling the Tricolour at the union office, recounted the journey of the Union by highlighting the significant accomplishments in safeguarding the rights and interests of its members, as well as all workers in general.

TWU Deputy President, Shailesh Kumar Singh unfurled the national flag at the Union’s rest house. Her reiterated the Union’s commitment to the principles of freedom and unity.

The Union’s President, Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary performed the flag hoisting at the Bari Maidan. In his speech, Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary he delved into the historical contributions of union leaders during the Quit India Movement, a momentous chapter in India’s struggle for independence. He underscored the sacrifices made by numerous union leaders who faced imprisonment for their roles in the freedom struggle.

Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary also emphasized the importance of maintaining unity, solidarity, and environmental consciousness. He stressed the need to preserve a clean and healthy environment for future generations.

The celebrations were attended by all office bearers, executive committee members and the TWUoffice staffers.
