Jamshedpur, February 6: Tata Workers’ Union (TWU), Jamshedpur, organised its monthly felicitation ceremony for retired Tata Steel employees on Friday evening at the Michael John Auditorium Hall.
A total of 59 retired employees were honoured during the programme. Each retiree was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a gift coupon as a token of appreciation for their years of service to the company. The ceremony was conducted by TWU Assistant Secretary Shyam Babu.
The General Secretary of the Tata Workers’ Union, Satish Kumar Singh, attended the event as the chief guest. He personally interacted with the retired employees, enquiring about their well-being and listening to their concerns. Singh also informed them about various facilities and welfare services available for retired members, including the Puri Guest House, Benjamin Rest House and Cancer Rest House.
Addressing the gathering, Singh assured the retirees that the union would continue to extend all possible support to them and resolve their issues on priority.
The vote of thanks was delivered by TWU Vice President Rajiv Kumar Chaudhary. Union Treasurer Amod Kumar Dubey and several other union office-bearers were also present at the ceremony.
The monthly event aims to recognise the contribution of retired employees and maintain a strong bond between the union and its former members.
